Irish airline Aer Lingus has announced 100 voluntary redundancies by the end of 2013. The job cuts are part of a cost cutting plan. Over the course of recent years, the company has undertaken successive restructuring programmes and extensive redundancies in the face of intense competition in the airline industry (see Aer Lingus-2009, Aer Lingus-2008a, Aer Lingus-2008b, Aer Lingus-2004, Aer Lingus-2002).
