European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The electrical appliance retailer Darty has announced the closure of its Spanish operations in June 2013, with a loss of 650 jobs. The decision for the closure of the 43 stores is attributed to bad economic results and is part of a corporate restructuring plan affecting apart from Spain, Italy as well (Darty/IT/2012).
