On 31 January Swedish-Finnish telecommunications company TeliaSonera announced its plans to cut around 1,800 jobs. These job cuts form part of a previously announced cost reduction strategy and will affect employees in the company’s Nordic and Baltic subsidiaries. The company also said that it is planning to create new posts in the near future.
The company currently employs around 28,000 staff and operates across 16 countries. TeliaSonera has carried out a number of job reduction measures during the last years (see here and here).
