Description
Foxconn Slovakia, part of the Taiwanese Hon Hai Technology Group, has started recruiting new employees at its plant in Nitra, focusing on electrical engineering professions. Foxconn Slovakia did not officially specify the number of new jobs. According to an unnamed source from the company’s management, at least 300 positions are to be created.
The company has opened the first engineering and technical positions for specialists with an electrical engineering background and plans to extend recruitment to production and assembly positions at a later stage. It emphasises vocational training and skills development in areas such as robotics and smart manufacturing.
The company said it is responding to growing demand for AI infrastructure solutions and new business opportunities in this area.
The recruitment follows a collective redundancy at the Nitra plant: in November 2025, the company notified the dismissal of 509 employees, and the first employees received notice in December 2025 Foxconn Slovakia. The plant produces consumer electronics, automotive components and other electrotechnical products.
