Description
Eloisa, the Finnish Wellbeing Services County and welfare provider operating across South Savo, announced the elimination of about 200 positions as part of its 2026 fiscal consolidation plan, with up to 102 potential direct dismissals and around 100 reductions through natural attrition, such as retirements or unfilled roles.
The restructuring aims to achieve €34 million in savings for the next budget cycle by, in addition to job cuts, streamlining service delivery, cutting procurement costs, and optimising ICT systems across the region. Job losses are spread throughout Eloisa’s health, social, purchasing, and office functions. The transition is expected to begin after budget approval in late October-November 2026. The final number of job losses might still change during the process.
