Description
Zalando, a German online fashion retailer, announced a restructuring of its European operations involving 2,300 redundancies in Germany and the creation of around 60 jobs in Romania.
In Germany, the measures include 2,100 job losses linked to the closure of the company's logistics centre in Erfurt and the reduction of approximately 200 positions in Berlin: Zalando 2026 - DE.
At the same time, Zalando is expanding its presence in Romania by opening a new office in Bucharest, which is expected to create around 60 jobs by early 2027.
The restructuring reflects the company's efforts to optimise its operational footprint and streamline logistics and corporate functions while continuing to invest in strategic locations.
