Description
Stellantis, an Italian-French-American automotive group, announced plans to recruit 700 engineers by the end of 2026. Alongside, a €120 million investment in its historic Sochaux plant in eastern France.
The investment will finance a new paint shop, scheduled to open by the end of the year, as part of the company’s strategy to modernise its European production facilities: Opel 2026 - WO. The new facility will be fully automated and powered by electricity, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions by 50% and lowering water consumption. According to the company, the project is intended to improve production efficiency while supporting its decarbonisation objectives.
