Escribano Mechanical & Engineering, a Spanish company operating in the armament industry sector, has announced the creation of 100 new jobs at its new factory in the Parque Tecnológico de Paterna, Valencia. The plant will produce photonic chips for the space, security, defense and aeronautics markets and will begin operations in the summer of 2026.
The expansion follows the acquisition of DAS Photonics’ electronics subsidiary and aims to industrialise the company’s high-performance photonic semiconductors, positioning Spain as a key player in the emerging photonics industry.
