Description
Escribano Mechanical & Engineering (EM&E), the Spanish defence technology company, has launched a recruitment drive to hire 100 employees for its expanding operations in Córdoba, with the goal of completing the process by July 2026. The company, already operating within the Rabanales 21 Technology Park, is investing €70 million in a major industrial expansion that will include a new facility spanning 15,000 square meters, dedicated to the Army’s field artillery modernisation programme (ATP).
According to company sources, this hiring round is the first phase of a broader expansion plan that could create over 500 jobs by the end of 2026, if construction and production timelines are met. The new Córdoba plant will focus on producing artillery modules, including cannons and turrets, strengthening Escribano’s role in Spain’s defence industry. Local authorities have welcomed the project as a major boost for the region’s high-tech manufacturing sector.
