Description

Playtika, a mobile gaming company headquartered in Israel, has announced a global restructuring that will cut approximately 500–520 employees worldwide.

The layoffs will affect its teams in Romania (no specific number of jobs to be cut is available). The cuts are expected to take place in the first quarter of 2026.

The decision is driven by the need to concentrate resources on a smaller number of projects, reduce organisational layers, and rely more heavily on artificial intelligence and automation to improve efficiency. The company plans to move away from a broad portfolio approach towards smaller teams and sharper strategic focus, with some projects receiving reduced or no further investment.

Founded in 2010, Playtika employs around 3,500 people globally, including about 1,000 in Israel, and also has operations in several European countries, including Romania, Poland, Germany, and Ukraine.

In 2025, the company had already announced the cuts of 160 jobs worldwide, including at least 80 in Poland Playtika 2025-WO .
