Description

Danish Crown announced plans to establish a large slaughterhouse in Vejen, creating 100 new jobs. Production at the new facility is scheduled to start in October 2026, while recruitment will occur progressively over the next nine months following the announcement on 7 January.

This expansion is separate from the earlier project linked to McDonald’s and focuses on strengthening operations and meeting growing demand. The new positions will include roles in meat processing and related activities.

Danish Crown is a major food company with a strong presence in Denmark and internationally. In an unrelated project together with McDonald's, the company opened another facility in Vejen at the end of 2025, hiring 100 employees, which was registered in the ERM events database Danish Crown 2025 - DK.
