Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French fashion brand IKKS, specializing in ready-to-wear, which has been under judicial restructuring since October, has finally found a buyer, according to the decision of the Paris Commercial Court.
However, the acquisition will lead to a reduction in staff, with approximately 500 job cuts. Out of 1,094 direct positions in France, 546 will be retained.
This restructuring will result in a major restructuring of the store network, including store closures, in the context of the growing second-hand market and the rise of fast fashion.
Restructurings have been recorded in the ERM database : IKKS 2017 - FR IKKS 2024 - FR
