European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Austrian Post, headquartered in Vienna, is responding to Lieferando's recent layoffs Lieferando 2025 AT by offering 600 new positions in parcel and mail delivery. These roles come with fixed employment contracts and fair wages, providing a secure alternative for affected workers.
Just Eat Takeaway.com (Amsterdam), the owner of the food delivery service Lieferando, is laying off around 600 of its 966 employees in Austria and shifting to freelance contracts.
Austrian Post AG is a significant employer, with a workforce of 27,254 people across the Group. In 2023, the company reported annual revenue of EUR 2,741 million. As at 2023, 52.8% of Österreichische Post AG is owned by the state-owned Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖBAG), while the remainder is essentially free float.
