The US-based fast food chain McDonald’s has announced that it will create over 24,000 jobs across the UK and Ireland.
Preparing to its 50th anniversary in the UK and Ireland, the chain has announced plans to invest £1 billion (€1.12 billion) in the launch of more than 200 new restaurants in the two countries within the next four years. The company has not provided detailed information on how many jobs are to be created in each country.
Additionally, McDonald’s intends to refurbish and modernise over 1,500 existing restaurants across both regions.
Currently, McDonald’s has 1,500 sites in the UK and Ireland.
