The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tryg, a large insurance company active in the Scandinavian countries, has decided to merge its commercial and industrial divisions in Denmark and Norway, which will entail the dismissal of approximately 250-270 employees in the two countries.
The restructuring is part of a number of strategic and structural changes the company is implementing in order to increase its competitiveness and reach the goals set for 2024.
It is expected that there will be around 120 dismissals in Denmark according to the Danish trade union Forsikringsforbundet. However, it has not been declared when the dismissals will take effect or when the restructuring will be finished.
