European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tryg is a large insurance company active in the Scandinavian countries. The company has decided to merge its Danish and Norwegian departments for corporate costumers, which will entail the dismissal of approximately 250-270 employees in Denmark and Norway. It is expected that there will be around 120 dismissals in Denmark according to the Danish trade union Forsikringsforbundet.
It has not been declared when the dismissals will take effect or when the restructuring will be finished. It has not been made public precisely how many employees will be dismissed either.
