Description
Thales Group, a French multinational company which designs, develops as well as manufactures electric systems, devices and equipment for the defence, aerospace, transportation and security sectors, announced a recruitment plan for 400 new employees in the Netherlands. The main reason for the job creation, is to meet the increased demand for war supplies and materials, however the company also takes into account that a large number of employees are leaving, partly due to retirement, and will need to be replaced. Thales Group wants to employ 12000 extra people this year spread over their various locations across the globe to support its strong growth trajectory.
Previous restructuring cases have been recorded for Thales in the ERM database. In 2022, a global restructuring was announced which would expand their workforce by 11000 jobs (Thales-2022-WO), the creation of 500 jobs in Romania were announced (Thales-2022-RO), as well as an expansion of 5000 jobs in France (Thales-2022-FR).
