Thales, a French multinational company, has announced plans to create 500 new positions for software engineers, systems architects, cybersecurity engineers, data analysts, experts in artificial intelligence, and project managers by the end of 2022. The expansion is part of a larger worldwide recruitment.
As of December 2021, Thales, which manufactures electrical systems and provides services for the aerospace, defence, transportation and security market, has 782 employees in Romania. The company established its first Software Research and Development Centre in Bucharest, in 2009. Globally, Thales Group, headquartered in Paris, has about 81,000 employees in 68 countries. In 2021, the company created 9,000 positions worldwide.
