Description
The British fashion retailer Primark, which specialises in low-cost fashion, is to redouble its commitment to the Spanish market with an investment of €100 million, the creation of 1,000 jobs and the opening of at least eight shops over the next two years. The company will invest €80 million in the opening of eight new shops in the national market and the expansion of one in Barcelona; the remaining €20 million will be used to improve and renovate the 56 shops it already has in Spain, where it opened in 2006 and which is already its second most important market. The next openings will be in Lanzarote, Melilla, Toledo, Jaen and Lorca (Murcia), in addition to three new establishments in the Community of Madrid, where it already has eight shops.
