Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Siliko, the Slovenian development supplier and manufacturer of elastomers and thermoplastics products plans to hire 130 workers in two years. The company, which supplies German automotive (BMW, Volvo and the Volkswagen group) and home appliance industry, expects a twelfth per cent increase in sales this year. Many of the new workers hired will need to be highly qualified since the company needs to strengthen the development departments. The remaining workforce will be needed due to the expansion of its production facilities in two production sites: Sevnica and Vrhnika. The company currently employs 640 workers.
The company already expanded in 2021 (Siliko-SL-2021) and 2019 (Siliko-SL-2019).
