Description
As announced on 8 March 2021, the US retail giant Amazon will be opening a new distribution centre in Schkeuditz in autumn 2021 which will create 120 new jobs. The new centre will act as a stopover for parcels arriving from Amazon’s own logistic centres which will be picked up by local delivery drivers for the parcels’ final delivery.
In 2020, Amazon already opened its first regional air freight centre in the same region at Leipzig-Halle airport.
