European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Spanish public post office company Correos has announced the creation of 1,421 new jobs. The company has also announced the permanent hiring of 4,005 temporary workers (2,618 as postmen) and the future hiring on open-ended contracts of another 2,000 temporary employees. The applicants have to pass public examinations to work in the comapny while attending courses offered by unions. This announcement comes after the company created 2,295 new permanent jobs in 2018.
