Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish producer of water filters Dafi Pro, a subsidiary of Formaster group, announced that it will create 150 new jobs at its production facility in Bilcza near Kielce in 2020. The company is to invest PLN 50 million (€11.37 million as at 15 March 2020) and double the production capacity of the factory. As a part of the investment, an office, a two-story production hall and a high-storage warehouse will be built. In the context of Industry 4.0, the facilities will have advanced automation.
Formaster has been operating in Poland for over 30 years; the company specialises in the production of water heaters, water filters, filtering cartridges and vacuum containers. Currently, Dafi Pro employs about 300 workers and provides its water solutions to clients in 30 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. In 2017, the company announced the creation of 100 jobs in Bilcza.
