Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The call centre group Webhelp has inaugurated a new site in Chalons-sur-Saône (Saöne-et-Loire), which should lead to the creation of more than 300 jobs within three years. For Webhelp, this represents an investment of €2 million, for which the local authorities plan to mobilise a total of more than €300,000 in accompanying measures.
With already 11 sites in France and 4,000 employees, Webhelp is consolidating its presence in the Burgundy Franche-Comté region. With 611 employees at at Montceau-les-Mines site and 113 at Gray, it has also chosen to set up in Chalon-sur-Saône at a site which formerly belonged to Kodak, which had been vacant for 15 years.
