Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Romanian manufacturer of forest and agriculture machinery, Maviprod-Irum, announced the recruitment of 100 new employees by the end of 2020, at Reghin plant (Mures County). This is a result of the opening of a new production capacity and a new place of business at Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County). For the current year, the management of Maviprod-IRUM plans to employ an additional 100 people, the jobs available being for sales specialists (sales representatives, sales agents), engineers (mechanic, product, technologist), mechanical technicians, cutting processors, and machine operators.
Founded in 1953, IRUM operated as a state company and became a fully private owned company in 1999 with Maviprod as the main shareholder.
As March 2020, the company has 600 employees in Romania.
