Description
Coop, one of the largest food retailers in Sweden, announced it plans to dismiss 130 in Falkenberg in summer 2020 as part of the process of acquiring all Swedish stores of the Danish food retailer Netto. The restructuring will impact 80 warehouse jobs and 50 administrative roles. Coop bought the Swedish Netto stores in May 2019 and has by now turned a majority of the Netto stores into Coop stores. As a result of this, the functions have integrated to a degree where there is no longer need for Netto’s warehouse and headquarters in Falkenberg.
