Description

The Danish multinational company FLSmidth cuts the number of employees by about 500. FLSmidth provides global cement and mineral industries with factories, machinery, services and know-how. According to the management, the reason for the cuts is industry restraint and delays of large capital investment in the global market.

The Group has a total of 11,400 employees in 60 countries. About 80 of the affected employees are affiliated to the head office in Valby, in the municiplality of Copenhagen, Denmark, while the remaining 420 are distributed at regional offices around the world.

There is no information about a foreseen end date for the reorganisation yet.
