Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Acial, an IT company specialised in software testing, has announced the recruitment of 100 people in 2020. The company currently employs 300 employees to support customers in the implementation of software quality systems. Acial recruits mainly for its sites located around Paris, Nantes, Lyon and Lille. Most of these positions are open to people with a Bac + 5 (School of Engineering or Management, Master 2 in University), ideally with at least one work experience.
Given the difficulties in recruitment, in 2017 Acial has developed with the public employment service (Pôle Emploi) a training course entitled 'Operational Preparation for Employment' which trains people for the job of 'Test Consultant'. This program was developed to enable jobseekers undergoing professional retraining and coming from various backgrounds to work as Test Consultants.
