The Czech aircraft repair company Job Air Technic (JAT) has officially opened its new hangar at the Ostrava-Mosnov airport and plans to employ over 100 highly qualified specialists in the next two years.Due to the labour shortage on the domestic market, Job Air Technic has already recruited workers from the Philippines. In addition, the company cooperates with a secondary technical school where students are trained to become potential employees.
The hangar, which cost CZK 380 million (€14.74 million as at 15 February 2020), is the largest repair shop in Central and Eastern Europe. Job Air Technic repairs aircraft models like Airbus or Boeing for large airlines such as Aeroflot or Brussels Airlines.
