Description
Facebook, the US-based social media platform, has announced plans to create 1,000 new jobs in its engineering centre in London by the end of 2020. The majority of the new jobs will be in data science, software engineering and product design units of the company. The remaining positions will be internal team support positions. Some of them will be responsible for identifying and removing problematic content across the company’s platforms: Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram.
Facebook currently employs over 3,000 people in London at three sites, which include the company’s largest engineering centre outside the US.
