Description
In 2018, the Polish authorities announced that the Marshal's Guard (Straż Marszałkowska) will create 130 new positions. The body managed by the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland has not filled in all vacancies yet and attempts to recruit 100 new guards in 2020. Reportedly, the recruitment was announced in 2019, but the target was not achieved. The primary task of the Guard is to ensure the safety of deputies and senators and to keep law and order in the parliamentary buildings. At the moment, the Guard consists of 171 guards.
