Aldi, the Germany-owned discount supermarket chain, has announced that it will create 200 new jobs in Scotland in 2020. The business expansion includes the opening of five new shops and a new specialised storage facility. A representative of the company has said that the new facility will be in exploitation by the end of April, which will support the company’s expansion in Scotland. The new shops will be located in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Livingston, Haddington, Stewarton and Bathgate.
Aldi opened its first shop in Scotland 25 years ago.
