Hardware retailer Screwfix is planning to create 400 jobs in Ireland, with the planned opening of 40 new stores. The new jobs will be for retail assistants, supervisors and managers. The first four stores were opened in Dublin, Waterford and Clare in December 2019. A new shop will open in Ennis, County Clare in January 2020. The timeline for the upcoming openings and recruitment is still unknown.
Screwfix is part of the Kingfisher group, which also owns the B&Q retail chain. The company has more than 1,300 shops worldwide, including in Russia, Turkey and the UK where it has 650 outlets.
