Description
Two German meat-processing companies, Reinert and Kemper, have gained permission to merge and will establish a new company 'The Family Butchers'. After the merge, the company will employ 2,340 workers, 260 workers less than the earlier workforce of the companies. The new company plans to cut 10% of the previous positions in both companies - or 260 jobs - by 2022, to invest in new technologies and to expand to US markets. According to the management, it is likely to announce some direct dismissals. There is no official redundancy plan yet.
