Courier company DPD Ireland is creating 120 new jobs in Athlone, County Westmeath. The new DPD positions are for drivers, sortation staff, night staff and administrative staff. The company is investing €2 million in its central sortation hub in Athlone. The total investment in the Athlone centre is now €38 million.
Currently, the company employs 1,720 workers in the country. DPD Ireland has witnessed an expansion in business in recent years and is expecting a busy Christmas season, with up to 170,000 parcels processed per day.
