Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Property management company Servo has announced plans to create 100 new jobs in the course of the coming year. The growing company is based in Leeds and provides services in multiple fields such as rail labour, security, installation and maintenance of security equipment for properties. Clients include Network Rail, the construction company Balfour Beatty and BMW. The jobs which are being created will be in the infrastructure, security and property divisions of the company. Servo is going to provide a variety of trainings for unemployed candidates.
The timeframe for the creation of these new jobs has not been reported explicitly, but it is implied that the jobs will be filled within a year.
