Description
Concept Life Sciences, which provides research and development for clients in several scientific sectors, has reportedly closed four of its UK sites causing 280 sudden job losses. The reduction occurs in Manchester, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Braintree and East Kilbride. A consultation process is understood to have been started in June 2019, though the decision to close the sites is reportedly a surprise to the workers. The business changed ownership 18 months ago and is now owned by Spectris. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and it has headquarters in London.
