European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Refractories manufacturing company Vesuvius Iberica Refractarios announced its plans to close both the plant in Langreo, Asturias, and the one in Miranda de Ebro (Castilla y León). The collective dismissal is planned to affect 111 employees from the Langreo plant and 17 others from the Miranda de Ebro plant. Trade union CC.OO. has rejected the suitability of the plan and announced legal appeals and industrial action during the statutory 30-day consultation period.
