Description
Adria Airways, the Slovenian national air carrier, will terminate the employment contracts of all 558 employees on 6 October 2019. The company filed for bankruptcy procedure at Kranj district court after months of severe financial problems. All flights have been cancelled. The bankruptcy of the company will also negatively impact the national economy and tourism. However, the Slovenian government expects that other carriers will take the chance to sustain the international connectivity of the country. A further idea under consideration is the creation of a new airline.
