Description
Supermarket chain Mercadona plans to hire 200 IT specialists in the coming six months. The new positions are expected to have open-ended contracts, detailed training plans and opportunities to further their career with more responsibilities in the company. The business expansion is part of a digital transformation strategy, as the company plans to allocate €150 million per year to improve tools, processes and IT solutions. The company's IT department has just recently been expanded with the addition of another 200 IT specialists from April 2019 and the department now counts up to 700 employees specialized in software engineering, project management, business architecture, system administration, analytics, Internet of Things and IT security.
