Description
Trailer manufacturer Don-Bur announced the creation of 100 new jobs across its three sites in Stoke-on-Trent. The company has invested GBP 4 million (€4.47 million) to increase capacity, as the new investment includes a fibre laser and auto welding cell, press brakes and a new management hub. The equipment allows the company to avoid process outsourcing, thus reducing production costs down. The automation process is expected to deploy the company's skilled workers in other functions and the job creation is planned to require additional skilled employees to cope with the increased demand. The changes will allow the business to mass produce products for the expanding rental market. The new jobs are expected to be added over a three-year period.
