Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Engineering group, Jacobs, is creating 200 new jobs in Ireland, as part of a new investment which entails a €4.5m investment in its Cork based office. The new jobs are in project and construction management, design, commissioning, qualification and validation. They will be based at Jacobs' locations in Cork and Dublin.
Jacobs employs 1,100 people across the island of Ireland, and has been established in Ireland for 45 years.
The group specialises in project delivery for advanced facilities, environmental and infrastructure clients, and has seen an increase in business in Ireland recently due to the upturn in construction.
