The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Romanian public air transport company Tarom announced the intention to dismiss 300 employees by end of the year. The company is cutting 300 jobs from the commercial, procurement and economic departments as well as some managerial positions. The measure is part of a restructuring programme promoted by the new management of the company in order to diminish financial losses which amounted to 182.8 million lei (€38.67 million) in 2018.Currently, Tarom has a workforce of 1,773 employees.
