Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The IT consultancy and software company Computacenter has announced the recruitment of 150 employees in Perpignan. The English IT service giant has opened a new call centre in this city. Computacenter specifies that workers without experience can apply, and that internal training on the entire technical part is planned, prior to the start of the 12-month fixed-term contract. The proposed salary is €18,500 per year.
Computacenter has 48 sites throughout Europe, the US, Mexico and China. In 2018, the company generated sales of nearly €4.5 billion, up 17% year-on-year, and employs nearly 15,000 people worldwide. Two previous announcements were recorded in the ERM database: a job creation of 270 positions in 2014 and a job reduction of 230 positions in 2014.
