Polish postal operator InPost has announced that it plans to hire up to 1,000 employees many of whom could be former employees of the competitor courier company Geis. Geis decided to close down its parcel division developing cargo only activities. InPost intends to employ couriers, picking and sorting staff as well as mid-level management staff at the units across the country. The source also reports that InPost is capturing Geis’ clients offering them contracts for parcel services. InPost has been operating in Poland since 2006.
