Description

Car components manufacturing subsidiary Huf UK is reported to be closing its site in Tipton (West Midlands) with production being moved to Poland and Romania. The company, which produces door handles and locks for various car dealers, confirmed that the delocalisation operation will be concluded by the end of 2019. The company has publicly blamed increased competition and lost orders for the decision. According to the testimony of one employee, staff had been told that the decision was attributable to the decision of the UK to leave the EU.
