European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Commercial Court of Saint-Pierre (Reunion Island) has ordered the judicial liquidation of Shetak managing the Casernes shopping centre, which has therefore closed its doors. This liquidation resulted in the dismissal of 104 employees. The company was facing serious financial difficulties, which have worsened since the termination of the contract with the Auchan supermarket group in January 2019. Shetak was hoping to enter into a new partnership with the Géant Casino group. But the buyer was not interested and the shelves gradually emptied, while the public left the shopping centre.
