Description

Sanquin Plasma Products, a daughter company of blood supplier Sanquin, and producer of plasma medicinal products is going through a major reorganisation. Around 200 out of 750 jobs will be cut in 2019. Sanquin Plasma Products experienced serious production issues last year, already leading to concerns about the company’s future. This year it was announced that the biggest client of Sanquin Plasma Products, Shire, is reducing the amount of production it will buy. As a result Sanquin Plasma Products is expected to incur heavy losses in the coming years, however the company plans to counter part of the expected losses with the announced reorganisation.
