European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
French home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin has opened a shopping store in Girona, Catalonia. The new store directly employs 154 workers. The investment of €31 million for the new store was already announced in February 2017 and it reinforces the company's commitment to and important presence in Spain. The store uses solar panels, electric cars and LED lighting leading to a 56% prospected reduction in energy consumption. As of June 2019, the company has a total of 83 stores.
