Description
The Yorkshire Linen Company has ceased trading with the immediate loss of all 130 jobs. The business which sold towels, bedding and curtains from 19 shops based in the north of England, had been subject to a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) four months previously which had resulted in the closure of eight stores. It had been hoped that the CVA would allow the business to continue. Despite this action the administrators confirmed that it had not been possible to turn around the firm's fortunes.
